Morgan and her husband, Ilya 'Dutch' Lichtenstein, were both reportedly handed lenient sentences for assisting authorities in other cases

Heather Morgan, aka ‘Razzlekhan’ aka ‘Crocodile of Wall Street’, has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for her role in laundering stolen Bitfinex Bitcoin, reportedly worth more than $10 billion.

Morgan, 34, and her husband, Ilya Lichtenstein, 35, were involved in the well-publicised hack of the Bitfinex cryptocurrency exchange in 2016. The heist resulted in over 119,000 BTC being stolen.

Razzlekhan Sentenced For Her Role In What Is Now A Multi-Billion Dollar Heist And Now Has A Netflix Documentary On The Way

A federal judge has sentenced Heather Morgan to 18 months in prison for her role in helping her husband, Ilya “Dutch” Lichtenstein, launder stolen Bitcoin. Lichtenstein has admitted to exploiting the cryptocurrency exchange Bitfinex in 2016 and making off with more than 119,000 Bitcoin.

At the time, the stolen BTC was worth $71 million, whilst today it totals over $10 billion.

Prior to her arrest, Morgan was best known as a (terrible) rapper, a Forbes and Inc. blogger, and an entrepreneur. When the Department of Justice announced her arrest, the internet quickly discovered her crypto-themed rap videos, which she made under the name ‘Razzlekhan’.

The full story surrounding Morgan and Dutch is being made into a Netflix documentary series aptly named ‘Biggest Heist Ever’. Its timing is perfect following Morgan’s sentencing as it is due to be released early next month, on December 6.

Morgan Claims She Will Be Telling Her Side Of The Story Soon While Also Promising Updates On Her Latest Endeavours

Undeterred by her sentencing, ‘Razzlekhan’ issued a statement on X. In the short video, she apologised for her social media absence while saying “I will soon be telling my story, sharing my thoughts, and telling you more about the creative and other endeavors I’ve been working on.”

Morgan pleaded guilty to helping her husband, Ilya “Dutch” Lichtenstein, hide the stolen crypto via complex money-laundering techniques last year. Lichtenstein pleaded guilty to his part in the Bitfinex hack and, last week, was handed a five-year prison sentence for his troubles.

It was noted that Morgan and Lichtenstein were both handed lenient sentences for cooperating with authorities regarding other investigations.
